Whhhyyyy?

So, apparently my laptop decides to overheat while I'm trying to play TS3 now. Never done this before, but now it does. I just finished completing Ember's face and was about to save her to the bin then my laptop freezes from overheating. Grrrr! I'll probably load it back up and redo everything tonight with lots of saving. My solution is to leave my laptop halfway hanging off my desk until I can get my cooling fan back from my boyfriend. At least it lasted me long enough to start crapping out before college when I need a new one anyway. So, HA! In your face computer. I'll get a super special thumb drive to save all important sim things onto just in case it bursts into flames.

Work in progress

I thought I was going to finish this sim today, but I'm starving and my computer started overheating. Sooo, I'll have this sim done sometime next week since I'm going away this weekend. Pretty sure I'm gonna have her live in Twinbrook, be a teacher and a painter, and travel A LOT. I want to get back into WA, hopefully nothing screwy happens; I've heard of people having serious issues with traveling and the latest patch. Not sure if I'll tweak her face more, I'm pretty happy with it, but knowing me I probably will. Also, I want to complain that the hair she has and the fact that if you lower the head width, you get a patch of skin through the bangs. That bugs me so much, since this hair is absolutely perfect for her and I have to raise the width back up to the middle. Sims have unnecessarily giant heads.

Big update on the Drakes with a boat load of pictures. Four new babies, WHEEE! Sandi and Dante had Adam and Bobbi; Kate and Mortimer had Juni and Kendra. I was in serious panic mode because I didn't know if I could handle all these sims and maybe I should just separate the families. But now EVERYONE has grown on me and it tugs at my heartstrings thinking about splitting them up.

Here is where things got dramatic. Apparently, while I had Dante and Kate live alone for a bit, Mortimer was out CHEATING on poor Kate. I had no idea, she had no idea. They just got married and had two kids before she even found out. Right after she got home from work she ran up and accused him of cheating then talked with Cho on the phone for the longest time. I'm trying to resolve it, but she still refuses to be romantic with him. And then the house phone rings and Dante answers, bursts out laughing(Oh, evil sims) and I get the pop-up that Gunther just died. Karma is indeed a bitch, Morty.

I am a lazy simmer

I've been a little busy, I suppose. I went to go visit a college in Pittsburgh on Friday and came home Saturday and today was "catch up on TV shows" day. The joys of summer vacation. I'll be up and simming EVENTUALLY. But I made this post because I tried my hand at editing and it actually didn't turn out so bad for my first time. Our U.S.A. ladies lost the World Cup so I had to distract myself afterwards from my fiery rage. This is just a little nifty picture of Kris on the beach. The beach is actually my picture of when I visited St. Maarten in the Carribean. The shading is actually pretty good after I went through a few trials and errors; also notice my sim casting a shadow. Eh? Eh? ;) That took me a little while to master. I've always wanted to join a sims modeling competition, but those people are way too intimidating so I just lurk competitions.

Since I don't plan on getting anything productive done, I thought it would be cool to share the first few sims I made in TS3. A simpler time where I wasn't so full of CC that I could have my graphics set on high without my game being choppy. I was much more colorful and creative then, now my sims are all serious business and realistic.

That last post may have been premature. :) I decided to give it one last go and my malware scanner found 15 threats and I was able to repair all of them. My computer seems to be working and not crashing. AHHHH, so happy.

Computer issues

Well, I tried to go to download something from lemonleaf, I think and I got a virus from their website. All day I have been trying to fix it and it keeps freezing up my malware scanner. I can't send it back in time because my computer decided not to have any restore points. Safe mode will not load either. It really sucks, I fear I'm about to lose everything and I want curl up in a ball and wallow. Now my computer won't even boot up, so that's the icing on the shitcake. But whatever, I'll try to look on the bright side, starting fresh wouldn't be that terrible, but it's just my favorite family would be gone forever. I'll try to see if someone can help me fix it without losing much, but if not I'll clear everything and be back to simming all fresh. :') Blogged from my trusty iPod.

EEP! A gift for me? Truly?

Just doing my thing on the TS3 forums and posted in a thread about how many children you let your sims have and I'm not normally one to be noticed on there. Apparently, SimGuruHydra noticed me and gave me gift, my third gift ever on the site, sometimes people are sooo sweet. This has left me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside especially since it's something I've really wanted. She(I think Hydra is a she) even added a little comment mentioning my post. :) The evidence:

I just want to show off my characters from other games because I play those...other games, not just the sims. I love character creation in games, gets me all giddy. These are probably REALLY bad quality, but still view in amazement. Next time I play through DA2, I'm going for a more exotic look, not like you can get very exotic, they kind of keep you trapped in a box of similarity. I think all of their names are Mia, I really like that name...

Flickr has a lame 200 photo limit, that sucks. So, I switched backed to photobucket and I remember why I hate it. First, the picture quality is crap and second, it ALWAYS freezes uploading my favorite picture in a set. Not even kidding, the picture is chosen in the middle and it skips over it. Then it freezes at the end, freezes my browser and plays annoying ads with sound that I can't mute. Ugh. And I was having some graphic issues with a CC hair. It worked fine for my teen Morty, but I put it on my new sim, Carwin, and the bangs get all pixelated in game, but not CAS. I feel like it's because of Bridgeport, that city kind of stresses my game out, so I might have to move them to the lovely Altair Cay. I took a few pictures when I wasn't being pissed off at the jacked up hair and photobucket, what a craptastic simming session. New sims are Carwin and Jackyl, they're fraternal twins and they're joining Aaron and Cleo's band.

Kate invited the next ranked chess player over and it was Blair Wainwright. She brought her baby and GAH! was she...interesting, Cyclone Sword is the dad. So I figured since she was there, why not giver her a makeover so she's pretty in the future? I kept her hair color, it's cool, blonde and blue? Yes, please. Trust me, I didn't spend a lot of time on her and she looks great. Her name is JoAnna, I think and I didn't put any makeup on her.

But besides all that, I downloaded a new world called Altair Cay created by a simmer named Arlokk. It's BEAUTIFUL, that's where my sim Kris lives. WHEEEE! I'm caught up!

Well, I couldn't decide between Dante or Kate so I'm bringing them both along. I moved them out on their own as teens and had them work on skills and such, logic for Kate and writing for Dante. But what I'm going to do is have them live together and them have a boy and a girl with their spouses then I'll pick the best out of that bunch. They both already have significant others, Kate has Mortimer(tee-hee) and Dante has a girl names Sandi McGraw(daughter of Stiles McGraw and Molly French). Sandi is really cute, she's very pixie-like, she'll be in the background of one of these pictures. I barely edited any of her features, just the bridge of her nose. I edited Morty more, made his eyes smaller, wider jaw, and fixed up his nose. WALL O' TEXT. Start off with teen Morty(Awww!):

Kris Brave

New sim, Kris, she's my undercover criminal mastermind. I thought it would be awesome to make a sim who is a cute, little blonde who works as a criminal. She's more of the thieving type because she's not evil, so there's good there, but she has an edge. Maybe I'll make a story out of her, but that requires a lot of character creating and, well, time. But if I can get something out of Cleo, she shouldn't be anymore difficult. On a side note, I absolutely LOVE Lotus' retextures and alpha edits. They're so pretty, I could just pet them.
